Self Employed Marketing your way to wealth.
As a self employed person we market by way of word of mouth face to face and by phone. I have talked about internet marketing setting up a web site or blog advertise your services giving value and sending out emails as reminders and giving offers on what your business is doing for your customers.
The other way of marketing is what we call direct marketing using post cards greeting cards. These methods of marketing will give you an added advantage of getting more responses.
Why because people love the personal touch a post card or greeting card with your own logo and maybe testimonial and offers sent to potential customers and lets not forget your existing customers is a great way to improve integrity and your commitment to offering a great service.
If you are using all these methods then you are well ahead of your competition and the fact is all these types of marketing is so easy to implement and at very little expense especially with the extra income you going to receive.

An increasing number of tradesmen are seeking employment overseas as work in the UK dries up, according to a new report.
A survey carried out by the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) of its members found that many are being attracted by the allure of using an overseas recruitment agency and heading abroad, where work is plentiful and their skills can be put to good use.
CIF spokesman Martin Whelan said that the lack of large-scale projects in the UK is “hugely concerning’” for tradesmen, leading to an exodus as many turn to overseas recruitment and seek a stable salary abroad.
“All our companies are looking abroad for work now, and skilled managers and hugely expensive building equipment are moving out of the country,” Mr Whelan said.
It comes after a recent study carried out by Badenoch and Clark found that a lack of work during the recession has forced many people to take on a job in a different sector to pay the bills.

I am tradesmen that can acquire even more.
I am writing this article because i want to convey how not only is looking at why you want to market your business online is really important, but why i believe that it will open your eyes to more possibilities in the future although you may not see it right at this moment.
You will see how taking action now will help secure your future by seeing other opportunities that will naturally come your way.
You might not realise it but you already have a wealth of information that can be part of your future investment.
For instance if you are self employed but may only be an expert or skilled in a particular area, then you have a certain amount of limitations to how much work that comes your way. But if you have diversity then you are in a position that will give you more opportunities to acquire more work and more income.
Now learning a trade or another area of your trade has taken time and money but the rewards in extra
work and income have no doubt been a blessing to your financial security.
Any new skills will require work, money and time. learning to market online will take time too and cost you. But let me add the cost is low it will be the time to learn that you need to invest in, but time is knowledge.
When you have learned the skill i guarantee you. Not only will you be in a prime position, but later down the road you will see how learning this extra skill
and with imagination, will unlock doors that will secure your freedom to a better financial future.
I am a tradesmen too but have found a source of income that will make me financially secure and as i have grown older my trade has it’s limitations. You see i know that my business relies on me and if i can not do the work then i don’t earn.
In this day and age wouldn’t it be nice to think that you are having money work for you as opposed to working for money.
The internet can provide a way to create wealth without the physical presence. With commitment perseverance and desire opportunities will present themselves.
That is why making a start to learn and educate you with different skills, to compliment your existing business will lead you to a more profitable and rewarding situation in the future.

I cannot emphasise enough that if you don’t start to understand the basics of online marketing then as a tradesmen you are going to loose out big time. The future to market a business online will not only give you another source of income but will guarantee that you get the fair share of customers. Whom now use the internet as a natural way to find what they are looking for not just for online buying like, consumer goods, holidays, Insurance etc but a great deal will want to use it to find services. Because it is just so easy and convenient to do so.
I am not saying give up on the advertising that you use now that is still and always will be a proven way to attract more customers with offline marketing.
But the internet is growing big time and more and more businesses are realising the potential to increase sales and customers online.
I would go as far as to say do nothing now and face the consequences don’t let your business drop off by finding excuses not to gain the knowledge now.

what if this is me
Well i believe that we will always be needed thank god there are many people that shy away from DIY, because they don’t have the know how or they don’t have the time or the partner wants it done quick and efficiently. So in a nutshell the tradesmen will live on.
But sometimes we do find it quiet at times and these times it might be worth considering the possibility of what other areas can i look at to make my future secure. I know having spoken to many tradesmen over my time in the industry, they do have concerns that as they get older and lets face it some work that is hands on is physical and can take it’s toll on the body day in and day out. But that is not the only factor that we have to face competition is growing and i know that when i first started i pretty much had it sown up with my contracts and private work.
But slowly i started to see more and more vans in my trade on the road and contracts were becoming scarcer.
I am a great believer in creating your own business mind by that i mean take the time to learn skills that will help and secure your future we can not rely on the the government to help us or the pensions to secure us anymore.
You have to gain control of your own destiny and the only way to do that is take action consider possibilities that will help prevent that situation of my god i am nearly retired now what i not sure i have sufficient resources to live the life i want for me and my family.
Well you are working and earning you are probably thinking i am fine but this can change very quickly i am not saying spend all your time looking for other options all i am saying is when you have the time consider making your future water tight with other options.
